[Listowel, ON] — Today, Matthew Rae, Progressive Conservative Candidate for Perth-Wellington, officially launched his campaign for re-election by meeting with voters at their doors in Listowel.
“Since 2022, we have secured over $201 million in additional provincial funding for Perth-Wellington in areas such as health care, infrastructure, and education,” said Rae. “Over 3,500 families now have access to a primary care provider because of the investments made by our Progressive Conservative Government. Our municipalities have received millions of dollars to get shovels in the ground for necessary infrastructure, so we can build more homes locally.”
“Matthew Rae has been instrumental in delivering results that matter to the people of Perth–Wellington,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party.
Protecting good paying local jobs against Trump’s tariff threat and affordability will be top of mind for Rae during this provincial election.
“Our Progressive Conservative Government extended the Gas Tax Cut until June 2025, saving the average Ontario family $380 since it was introduced in 2022. We scrapped the licence plate sticker fee, and are putting more money back into your pocket with $200 taxpayer rebate cheques,” said Rae. “While Bonnie Crombie and the Ontario Liberals want to increase taxes, a re-elected PC government under the leadership of Premier Ford will continue to keep costs down for families and protect Ontario.”
Matthew Rae was first elected Member of Provincial Parliament for Perth-Wellington in June 2022. He has served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education, and the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, at separate times. He also served as the Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs.
